Mobileezy Version 1311This month we have focused on making some exciting changes to the Mobileezy handheld. As well as the usual bug fixes and minor enhancements to the desktop system, we've placed extensive emphasis on improving the performance of the Mobileezy handheld software on Android devices.

The three most significant (and exciting!) changes we've made are:

1. Google Maps integration
You can now get directions from your current location to the next customer through Mobileezy Google maps integration! Select 'Show Map' from the 'Card Detail' heading on the customer card and Google maps will show you the way. You will need Internet access and location services switched on.
 
2. Mobile phone integration
Call your customers directly from Mobileezy with mobile phone integration. Simply select the customer from the card list, tap on 'Card Detail', select 'Call' and then choose from Phone 1 or Phone 2. You will need to have an Android device with a mobile phone SIM to enable this feature.
 
3.Run List new appearance
The appearance of run lists on the handheld has been improved. You can now choose to group customers by territory, thereby displaying an identified territory as a heading above specified customers to be visited. You can also choose to sort the customers in order of priority or in order of whether they have been visited or not so that the next customer to visit next is at the top of the list.
 

The less interesting (but still important) changes in the 1311 release are:

Enhancements:
  • The View drop-down option in the sales item screen (for toggling between Sales History, Default or Bin Code) has been moved to the 'Sales Items' menu.

  • Additional view option 'Prioritise Unviewed' is available in this menu for displaying unviewed items on sales templates. Unviewed items will display in red, viewed items will display in black.
Bug Fixes:
  • Filtering in Sales (Employee Name) report is fixed when one employee is unticked and more than 250 employees available.
  • Profile setting will no longer allow sales type to be left empty.
  • 'Use smaller fonts when possible' setting on handheld now works for Windows mobile and Android.
  • Issue regarding incorrect quantity being displayed when entering line items with item quantities has been fixed.
  • Issue with the system crashing when the stock button is pressed after creating a write back transaction (Stock Module) has been rectified.
  • Ordered quantity now shows the correct value after re-picking from unfulfilled (Picking System).
  • The pick button is no longer hidden when 'advanced picking option' is turned on (Picking System).

Note: In older builds of the Mobileezy handheld software, Mobileezy did not cover the entire screen and it was accessed through the Styletap application. If you are still dependent on Styletap (using Version 1305 or prior), please contact us to upgrade to the latest build.
