It’s the new Motorola device that looks, feels and functions like any other smartphone, but is actually one that can be used by fieldworkers in semi-rugged environments. The TC55 is an all-round device that is available in a variety of configurations and comes with options such as integrated 1D or 2D barcode scanner, back-facing camera, 4G capability and extended battery.

Built for long lasting durability, this handheld has an IP67 sealing, a Gorilla Glass display, and a drop specification of up to 1.2m to plywood. When combined with a protective rubber boot, the drop specification increases to 1.5m to concrete. This device will continue to function effectively in a broad range of operating temperatures ranging between -10C and +50C, and has an expected average lifespan of three years.

The Motorola TC55 operates on the Android operating system, giving you access to the same applications of an Android smartphone to which you‘ve become accustomed. It has a 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM which allows it to respond quickly and gives you peace of mind to know you are unlikely to run out of memory. With exceptionally good power consumption, it will easily hold charge all day and can be combined with an in-vehicle dashboard mount and power charger to make sure it can be charged in the field.
